Welcome
Do you sometimes feel alone or unsupported? Do you experience overwhelming anxiety, feel trapped or stuck in old patterns? Are there times you feel lost or disconnected from yourself? Or from others? Parenting, careers, relationships, the daily ins-and-outs of just being human can sometimes feel overwhelming. Past traumas or old, untended wounds may hamper your progress. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I want to help you understand that you are not alone. I am here to support you while you discover who you really are, what you really want, and develop the tools you need to live your most authentic life.
How do we get you from who you are to who you want to be? We get there together.
How I Can Help
Seeking therapy can be a intimidating first step. Deciding to prioritize your emotional and mental well-being is a empowering move. My approach is to combine Cognitive Behavior Therapy with mindfulness practices. Talk therapy has been shown to improve emotional wellness in those struggling with depression or anxiety, repair and enhance relationships, and decrease doctor visits for physical symptoms (George, 2014). The heart of mindfulness as a therapeutic technique is the cultivation of awareness of the present moment while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations without judgment. Therapy can empower you to have the confidence, resources, and tenacity to make your self-care a priority.

About
I envision counseling as a collaborative process. My approach involves facilitating a supportive client/counselor relationship to improve my client’s ability to cope with and address negative patterns of behavior and thought, enrich their relationship with self and others, and enhance overall well-being. I have been a practicing therapist for eight years in Tulsa, Oklahoma. My career experiences include working in schools with children, adolescents, and their families; working with adults to address life/work balance; supporting clients with depression, anxiety, and trauma histories; and most recently counseling teen parents. Every day I enter my sessions with the intention to help my clients get in touch with their inner resources in order to feel more in control of their emotions, with a greater sense of peace and well-being.
Services
Individual Therapy
I offer individual therapy services focused on anxiety, depression, and trauma. I am passionate about supporting women around a variety of topics that include relationships, self-esteem, emotional well-being, and motherhood. I have a special place in my heart for mothers, because I know that raising children can be challenging and do a number on your ego. (What mother hasn’t wondered if she is doing this whole parenting thing right?). Together we will work on finding empowering solutions that will allow you to help yourself during challenging times.
Employee Assistance Program
I am contracted with several EAPs that provide employees and their family members free and confidential short-term counseling to help address personal and/or work-related stressors. Please contact me for more information.
Mindful Mamas
A supportive class in which I help mothers cultivate mindfulness skills to help them develop a calm approach to loving and caring for themselves and their children. This introduction to mindfulness will help mothers meet parenting challenges with grace and ease. You can find more information on the Mindful Mamas schedule on my Facebook page, or by contacting me directly.

My favorite part of being a therapist is when a client “gets it”. I love that moment when they are making progress and then notice that they are making progress.
If you are looking for an ally, a safe space and a growing sense of empowerment, therapy is right for you.
My office is a private place where you can discuss your concerns with a trusted professional. Information shared with me is protected and will remain confidential, outside of these exceptions:
- Suspected abuse of a child or dependent adult or elder abuse. The therapist is required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
- If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person. The therapist must notify the police and inform the intended victim.
- If a client intends to harm himself or herself. The therapist will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in ensuring their safety. If they do not cooperate, further measures may be taken without their permission in order to ensure their safety.
- Please see the HIPAA Privacy Practices document for further exceptions.
Therapy sessions are typically 50 – 55 minutes. While there is no standardized timeline for how long therapy will take, you profit the most from having weekly sessions for the first month to six weeks. Factors such as the amount of time and effort put forth, how determined you are to work in between sessions, whether there are multiple issues to address, trauma history, and resources for support can influence the progress made in therapy.
I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield OK, United Healthcare, Health Choice, and Medicaid. My Medicaid caseload is currently full, but I am accepting new BCBSOK, United Healthcare and Health Choice clients. I am an out-of-network provider for other insurance plans, but I am happy to provide you with documentation if you have an insurance plan that reimburses for out-of-network providers. Please note, this does not guarantee your insurance plan will cover my services.
When considering counseling services, ask yourself, what is it worth to you to live an emotionally healthy life? How would this investment benefit me in the long term? Isn’t your emotional well-being worth the investment?
Individual therapy sessions are $90 for 50 minutes.
Insurance coverage varies depending upon plans, co-pays, and deductibles. Contact your insurance provider to discuss your coverage.
I have a limited number of spaces for clients that would benefit from a reduced session fee.
I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to answer any questions you may have and to help you determine if I am someone you would entrust your emotional health to. Click to call and set up your free evaluation.
